The first musical experience of Dannii Minogue, whom we remember as the sister of Kylie, began in 1991 with her first studio album "Love & Kisses"; to be honest, this record was first released in 1990 under the title "Dannii" for the Australian market and "Party Jam" for the Japanese market. Nevertheless, let's stick with "Love & Kisses" from 1991, featuring a Dannii very different from the sexy bombshell she is today. But everyone has their debut.
The album consists of pop-dance songs, ballads, and covers from the 70s and 80s, a thing the Minogues enjoy doing.
"Love and Kisses", the first single from the album, does its job and makes you dance, as does the following "Success". "So Hard to Forget" is the first slow song on Dannii's album, foreshadowing an explosion of pop mixed with R&B with the next three songs that follow: "Party Jam", "Attitude", and "Work". "Baby Love" is the first cover from the 70s, while "Call to Your Heart" is a very pop track. "Jump to the Beat", another single from this debut, is another dated song that was successful in the 80s with its pop-dance rhythm and has become a classic of Dannii. "Love Traffic", written by her sister Kylie, is upbeat. The album concludes with two slow songs, the beautiful "I Don’t Wanna Take This Pain Anymore" as the final single, and finally "True Lovers".
In the UK, "Love & Kisses" went straight to number 8 on the album charts, far from a flop. However, it didn't perform as well in the rest of the world, but luckily it was just the beginning.

"Love & Kisses is a pop song with some R&B atmospheres of the early '90s."
The video was truly dreadful: chubby, the look was masculine, the moves almost absent, a low budget.
