In the marvelous '90s, two French DJs with serious skills literally taught the world how to make a techno-house album with (golden) balls. The result was devastating: within a few years, radio stations around the world were flooded with imitators of this duo who created an album to be remembered as their absolute masterpiece and a milestone of French electronic music.
The most memorable songs certainly remain the beautiful "da funk," the stunning "revolution 909" (a true anthem to electronics), and, of course, that gem "around the world," famous for that phrase obsessively repeated over the more than 7 minutes of the track that gives it that really cool "daftpunkian" touch.
The rest is pure pleasure for the ears: consistently great beats (burnin', alive...) well-made fillers (teachers, oh yeah...) and some not so stellar songs (fresh above all).
So, getting to the point: a techno music masterpiece like few others, a source of inspiration for many DJs today. If you love the genre, you can't not have it.
Highly recommended!
