Daft Punk was a French electronic music duo formed by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, known for pioneering French house and for albums such as Homework, Discovery and Random Access Memories, a distinctive robot persona and large-scale live shows.

Members: Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Active 1993–2021 (the duo publicly announced their split in 2021). Known for studio albums Homework (1997), Discovery (2001), Human After All (2005), Random Access Memories (2013), and for composing the TRON: Legacy soundtrack. Frequently collaborated with artists including Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder. Created the film Electroma and the animated Interstella 5555 (soundtrack/film collaboration).

DeBaser reviews show strong praise for Homework and Discovery, divided opinions on Human After All, and wide discussion around Random Access Memories and the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. Live releases and the film Electroma are noted positively. Overall reception is varied across different releases.

For:fans of electronic music, Daft Punk listeners, music critics and curious newcomers

the album seems to push forward a true concept of dehumanization of music, with an extremely mechanical execution and obstinately resistant to any form of progression.

Electroma is a masterpiece of images and sounds comparable to a Stanley Kubrick film!

If this relationship achieves a 50/50 proportion in Tron Legacy (putting aside for now a screenplay from which I expect nothing good), we could say that Daft Punk did a good job.
