LA RECENSIONE

A wonderful surprise.

I've been looking for something to stir my apathy for a while.

These cymbals did it.

They woke up my musical soul, which has been a bit too sleepy lately.

It took just the dawn of one track to open the door, the opening track, among the Mercury Rev of the "Yerself is Steam" era, the Flaming Lips, My Bloody Valentine, and even a bit of the best Smashing Pumpkins.

It's called "And the Hazy Sea", "Ed il Mare Nebbioso".

They are called "Cymbals eat Guitars", "Cimbali mangiano Chitarre", they are from New York.

But rest assured, friends of the six strings, the guitars are there, and they blow like reeds in the wind, sharp as knife blades.

But the fog is everywhere, often torn by percussive thunder with a strong taste of psychedelia.

And, magically speaking, there's the pop melody, the sweetly off-key voice like Wayne Coyne, the accelerations, the 'ups and downs' in seemingly insurmountable paths.

For me, it was a wonderful surprise, I hope I'm not creating false expectations for you.

Also because, so far, I've only listened to two tracks...

But I trust my intuition and I'm taking a chance.

A wonderful dawn and a wonderful sunset ("Like blood Does") together can only make for a wonderful day.

P.S. Perhaps I've used the word "wonderful" a bit too much? Sorry, it's the enthusiasm, I've been missing it for a while.
