Crowded House is an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1985, led by songwriter Neil Finn and known for melodic, Beatles-influenced pop-rock and hits such as "Don't Dream It's Over".

Formed in 1985; original lineup included Neil Finn and Paul Hester. The band disbanded in 1996 and reformed in 2007. Drummer Paul Hester died in 2005. Critics frequently note strong Beatles influences in their songwriting.
