No bullshit: Debbì needs extreme music, extreme and possibly fresh, and after being absent on the front for too long, I now feel compelled to mess up the home with this vile EP discovered absolutely by chance.
It’s that I have a soft spot for the illustrious Southeast Asian Grind school, specifically for the Singaporean masters known to most as Wormrot: and on this stuff, it seems like everyone plays and sings except the great guitar hero Rasyid, wisely replaced by Faizal from the Malaysian band Tools of the Trade (...). You know what's great about Wormrot? That, with the partial exception of the last album Voices, where maybe they've softened up a bit, the more you listen to one of their records, the more you want to spin it: and this Code Error sticks to the rule. It starts like a Sludge metal bulldozer, then unleashes all its damn GRIND power. A dark blow full of pitch, strong with impressive sludgy contaminations, with the usual Arif who behind the microphone does whatever the hell he wants.
Arif, who also designed the cover, with a face zoomorphically vandalized in classic Wormrot style, for an EP of seven songs in ten and a half minutes, called 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and - guess what? - 7... actually 6.
Divertissement warmly recommended for those who want to screw up the ending summer.
