Beautiful people,
I am veeeery happy when an artist like Mr. Rezza Capa manages to achieve great results like those of this album (and generally also of the subsequent ones).
"Verità supposte" is an exceptional album because, while maintaining a deliberate originality and a certain detachment from the rest of the Italian mainstream thanks to lyrics that seem to be born from an alien mind they are so brilliant, it still maintains a certain attention to catchiness.
A clear example is the hit "Fuori dal tunnel (del divertimento)", a track with a super catchy chorus that mocks the exaggerated way people enjoy themselves, draining themselves in discos and nightclubs, and which ironically has taken the form of a summer-disc hit.
Other very interesting tracks are the anti-racist "Vengo dalla Luna", the autobiographical "Iodellavitanonhocapitouncazzo", the nostalgic "Limiti", the indignant "Il secondo secondo me" and "Nessuna razza".
But a bit all the tracks on this album, although not very varied in terms of sounds, are appreciable.
Very original are also Capa's now unmistakable falsetto voice and the arrangements balanced between rock and hip hop (trying to find the beginning of one and the end of the other is a bit like watching the sea and not noticing where the water ends and the horizon begins...).
The album is undoubtedly a 5-star.
P.S: Given the negative reactions to my reviews and the increasingly frequent "RESIGGGN!!!", lately before reviewing anything, the chorus of "La legge dell'ortica" comes to my mind: "It is for this that I follow the law of the nettle that incites me every day. When I put down a text what do you want me to say, there's no fun unless it irritates!"
Peace.
Capa, in his own small way, is a GENIUS.
Every song is a real gem and hides metaphors that can only be perfectly grasped after continuous and careful listening.
CapaRezza proves himself a master of words and irony.
‘Verità supposte’ is a milestone in Italian rap's evolution.
