Sea, sea, sea, the sound of the sea, of the sea, of the sea; I wander aimlessly not knowing where to go.
Sea, sea, sea, the sound of the sea, of the sea, of the sea; children on the shore joyfully playing.
Sea, sea, sea, the sound of the sea, of the sea, of the sea; happy people but who listens to me?
Sea, noise, noise, sea; my torments I cannot convey to you.
Sea, noise, noise, sea; does my solitude interest you?
Sea, sea, noise, noise; the Can to listen to for hours and hours.
Great group advocate of experimental music, electronic, psychedelic, space-like ambient. A medley of sounds and hypnotic atmospheres, refrains repeated to exhaustion by the "androgynous" voice of the quintessential non-singer Damo Suzuki.
Thirty-four amazing minutes for a monumental album composed of 4 pearls of rare beauty.
Explaining a work like this in words is impossible (I humbly tried to "describe" metrics and recurring motifs of some lyrics of Future Days and the other masterpiece Tago Mago in the first half of the review).
Class mingled with moments of genius. Nothing preset, music played with soul by excellent musicians supported by an outstanding sound engineer. Another characteristic feature of the band is certainly a sensational rhythm section.
It's almost miraculous how in the early 70s they managed to achieve such high levels of acoustic quality (the musical one was certainly not lacking).
Try listening to this album with your eyes closed in a dark room and you will see the light!

Future Days is a pure concentration of genius and experimentation, resulting in something simply unthinkable for any record by any band.
The final and endless 'Bel Air' is a wild twenty-minute suite where Can's cosmic rock reaches perfection.

Time is not a concept, it is a machine that creates reality, from which it is impossible to descend.
It is extraordinarily beautiful when it happens, even if closed in a room with a pair of headphones on your ears.. Heartbreaking and wonderful beauty of creation.
