Even though each of our lives is filled with a myriad of different emotions that may lead us to prefer one "musical genre" over another at different times, it is undeniable that, in the vast majority of cases, the music we loved throughout our adolescence is precisely the one we will proudly take to our graves, defending it with our love from changing trends and critical opinions.
If, as in my case, one does not dwell too much on labels (which are needed solely for purely commercial purposes) and, as a true music lover, one is solely concerned with choosing the right record, then, being present on Debaser becomes almost mandatory!
A site (perhaps calling it just a site is a bit of an understatement) like this is a precious tool for music enthusiasts, allowing them to interact and engage in a constructive exchange of ideas.
Those like me who were born when the word Computer was a near reality but not yet within reach for many, will probably understand what it meant to head, dizzy with excitement, to the best-stocked record store to try and get a copy of their favorite artist's long-awaited LP.
A thousand questions came to mind: what would the cover look like? And the music? Would they be better than the previous record or not? And so on, in a whirlwind of emotions that sometimes ended in tears of joy after the very first listen to the first tracks.
Buying an album was always a new adventure!
