If you thought that the advertisement by a well-known Dutch telecommunications company (Sbrodafone) was the lowest point reached by Bruce Willis, you were right. Nonetheless, this movie will also be remembered as a dark period in Bruce's career.
The story is actually not bad, aside from the fact that I'm ignorant about drugs that enhance learning (do they even exist?), otherwise I wouldn't be here writing this review, but at Harvard. Anyway, the film takes itself too seriously.
The likable bald guy (or if you prefer, differently hairy) is a war veteran from Iraq and so far, nothing strange. The problem is he's become the principal of a Catholic high school.
How did he manage that? This is the question that haunts viewers throughout the film, but it's not the only one.
The second question is: Why the hell is it called The Assassination if no one dies?
We will never know.
THE CHARACTERS
You can't help but admire the intuition of the protagonist, Bobby Funke, who manages to uncover the plot but gets tricked by Francesca; after all, it's normal that after writing only one article about the stolen tests, the most beautiful girl in school makes a move on you.
Besides, before the article, everyone remembered him because he was hung by the... and I leave you free to imagine how that's physically possible.
Finally, to highlight the role of two guys and a tomboy who intervene only to give Bobby advice on his tool, how to use it, or to save his life. In short, they are the most important characters in the film after Bruce and Cipriato, a friend of Bobby who has figured out everything about life, magnificently portrayed by John Magaro, an actor so famous that he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page, just like the film's writers.
In short, if you haven’t seen this film, you haven’t missed anything.
So between students locked in detention, strip-battleship, a pirate-girl with no connection to the plot, and other fantastic ideas from the minds of the writers (they should have gone to the clinic, not the poor captain of the basketball team), the film flows smoothly. And it’s short, thankfully. The film, not Bobby.

Why on earth is it called The Assassination if no one dies? We’ll never know.
The film, not Bobby.
