LA RECENSIONE

If you thought that the advertisement from a well-known Dutch telecommunications company (Sbrodafone) was the lowest point reached by Bruce Willis, you were right. Nevertheless, this film will also be remembered as a dark period in Bruce's career.

Indeed, the story isn't bad, beyond the fact that I'm ignorant about drugs to enhance learning (but do they exist?), otherwise, I wouldn't be here writing the review, but at Harvard. In any case, the film takes itself too seriously.

The charming bald man (or if you prefer, differently abundant), is a veteran of the Iraq war and so far, nothing strange. The problem is that he has become the principal of a Catholic high school.

How did he manage that? This is the question that torments viewers throughout the film, but it's not the only one.

The second question is: Why on earth is it called The Assassination if no one dies?

We'll never know.

THE CHARACTERS

One can't help but admire the intuition of the protagonist, Bobby Funke, who manages to uncover the conspiracy, but gets fooled by Francesca. After all, it's normal that after writing a single article about stolen tests, the most beautiful girl in school would make a move on you.

Besides, before the article, everyone remembered him because he was hung for the ... and how that is physically possible I'll let you imagine freely.

Finally worthy of mention are the roles of two guys and a tomboy who intervene only to give advice to Bobby on his tool, how to use it, or to save his life. In short, they are the most important characters in the film after Bruce and Cipriato, a companion of Bobby who has figured everything out in life, brilliantly played by John Magaro, an actor so famous he doesn't even have a page on Wikipedia, just like the film’s screenwriters.

In short, if you haven't seen this film, you haven't missed anything.

So, between students locked in detention, strip-battleship, a pirate girl who has no connection to the story, and other fantastic ideas that came from the minds of the screenwriters (they should have gone to the clinic, not the poor basketball team captain), the film flows smoothly. And fortunately, it's also short. The film, not Bobby.

Summary by Bot

The review critiques Brett Simon's film The Assassination, labeling it a low point in Bruce Willis's career. Despite an intriguing premise, the plot is confusing and overly serious, with unanswered questions and underdeveloped characters. Supporting roles and story elements seem disconnected, though the film's short runtime is a minor relief. Overall, it suggests viewers haven't missed much if they skip it.
