THE REVIEW

The 1980 album "Do they Hurt?" is not at the same level as the previous four works, but it is still a killer record.

The track that sends me the most into the high atmospheres of the musical planet is this "Voidarama."

On drums, we find a Phil Collins in a state of grace. He is no longer a permanent member of the group he helped create years earlier. He is doing too many other things in those years, solo, Genesis pop, productions, collaborations... he's a sort of musical parsley. And so, in "Do they Hurt?" he appears in only two tracks.

One of these is "Voidarama", a track that delivers rarefied atmospheres and deep emotions. Let yourself be enchanted by John Goodsall's guitar, at times sweet, at times infernal. Let yourself be enveloped by the suave and hypnotic notes of Percy Jones' bass. Let your body respond emotionally to Phil Collins' rhythmic figures.

Yes, this is a track that leaves a deep mark on us.
