Thinking that this band is made up of former members of a progressive metalcore band (the afterimage, for those who don't know them) is quite strange, given that in this brief EP the genres thrown together are slam, djent, deathcore, and a pinch of avant-garde. I would never have expected such a project from guys in their twenties (I mean, I'm only 17 myself.....) who show a frightening level of compositional maturity considering the genre origins of these dear guys. The initial tracks "eclipse" and "millennium" flex their muscles with an attitude somewhere between humanity last breath and ingested, followed by "casca," which starts with a lightning-fast blast that will shatter your skull, then alternates between slam riffs and deathcore breakdowns with more complex riffing towards the end with a very progressive foundation. "Crimson" follows the path of the previous songs but with more cadenced and almost sulfurous tempos towards the end, where the guitar tunings become abyssal.

The record concludes with "conviction," a track that more prominently follows the tenets of humanity last breath with the heavy use of a whammy bar and riffing halfway between blackened atmospheres and well-orchestrated djent/deathcore nuances, which mesh perfectly with the singer's inhuman growl.

In short, if you want to hear a very valid deathcore/death metal EP that escapes the typical stereotypes of the genre, this is highly recommended, but it is especially recommended for those who live off the antics of bands in the style of ingested, humanity last breath, false images, and gamma sektor.
