Christmas is around the corner and blink-182 bring us their first self-produced EP "Dogs Eating Dogs".
Every time you take hold of a piece of work from the San Diego band, you expect speed and fun, however, probably after "Neighborhoods", it is clear that this time there will not be songs just made for fun.
Blink-182 are completing the maturation process started with their self-titled album and brought towards fulfillment through various side projects and their latest full-length: indeed, the influence of Angels & Airwaves is very strong in this EP, already from the first track "When I Was Young".
Almost all the tracks could have been included in "Neighbordoors" without looking out of place, for example "Distaster", full of keyboards and synthesizers.
Interesting experiment with "Pretty Little Girl" which sees the collaboration of Tom and his comrades and the American rapper Yelawolf, who had previously worked with Travis Barker.
All 5 tracks are more or less on the same level as their latest album, meaning something that completely sets apart from works like "Enema of State" or "Dude Ranch", but that is still riveting and exciting at the same time.
