THE REVIEW

Idiots, out of time, funny (in their own way), and a symbol in the 90s of that pseudo pop punk that was so popular with teenagers. In one word and three numbers, Blink 182.

This EP is their latest work. Released on December 10, 2012, 19 minutes and 5 tracks, to take us back to those fiery years of success now past. But we are not in the 90s, and these three are no longer young and energetic like they once were: various subsequent projects have shaped them differently, and this EP is proof of that. We are faced with a simple but compact work, with some stylistic novelties, such as the collaboration with rapper Yelawolf on Pretty Little Girl or the synthesizers in the track Disaster. Unthinkable elements for the old style of Blink 182 in the 90s, which shows how +44 and Angels & Airwaves have influenced their style.

In conclusion, music that's not demanding at all, simple and catchy, which I believe will satisfy old Blink fans with old-style songs like Boxing Day or the title track, while also giving us something new and still unheard from these now ghosts of the three fools who once ran naked through the streets I used to love so much.

Blink-182 are completing the maturation process started with their self-titled album.

All 5 tracks are more or less on the same level as their latest album, meaning something that completely sets apart from works like Enema of State or Dude Ranch, but that is still riveting and exciting at the same time.
