I cannot tell you if enjoying an album like this requires a mnemonic background that necessarily contemplates a cross-cultural imaginary ranging from the multi-colored hairstyles of the headquarters of SHADO, Asimov's “Robot Cycle”, 6-7 thousand games of Space Invaders, the complete discography of Kraftwerk and Rockets, and at least the first series of Space 1999. The fact remains that these two young androids hailing from the constellation of Orion and sequestered in icy laboratories amidst the frozen lands of Finland, in their recent debut hologram, produce a visionary electro-synthetic moloch like none that has been heard (and appreciated) for some time.

Eight pulsating, corpulent, frantic, danceable space-sidereal mantras filled with synthetic drones and robotic percussion within which float clinical melodies grotesquely vocoderized, of which the primordial Men Machine from Dusseldorf would be (moderately) proud.

Muzak from another world.
