THE REVIEW

It was one of the most anticipated albums of the year, and it couldn't have been otherwise, given the great impact of the debut album. However, there was a fear that so much attention could harm the band, or - even worse - that they might not be able to repeat what they showed three years ago.

Fortunately, we can now state with certainty that BRMC have great talent.
The single "Stop", in the vein of "Love Burns", had already excited us enough. The first listen reassures us: the sound is the same, the grit is superior, the choruses are memorable - that's what rock 'n' roll is made of... I think of "Six Barrel Shotgun" and "We're All In Love".

We also witness this time the alternation between fast-paced tracks and others aimed at creating atmosphere. It is in the latter that the Black Rebel give their best. I could mention "In Like The Rose", or the very sweet "And I'm Aching", or the unreachable psychedelia of "Suddenly", perhaps the song of the year.
This time, it would be useless to make references.

In rock 'n' roll, it's no longer possible to invent anything; you can only write songs that work. And those of BRMC, "now", work better than, I don't know, Psychocandy.

This album will sell a lot, and for once it's right that way. Five stars because they deserve it, it wasn't easy to surpass themselves.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (often shortened to BRMC) is an American rock band formed in 1998, associated with dark, guitar-driven alternative/garage rock that reviewers frequently connect to shoegaze textures and the influence of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Their catalog is noted for both heavy, distorted rock and stylistic left turns such as the acoustic-rooted album “Howl.”

If monotony had the appearance of a woman in heat, she would definitely have relations with BRMC.

Despite all the advertising they have, there is better in Italy, just look around.

They play a kind of dark garage, a little sick, called 'shoegazer'.

Songs that meld into the ears, sick if not incomprehensible lyrics, all driven by ringing guitars, dominant bass, and the power of despair.
