LA RECENSIONE

Obsession, Repetition, Alteration, Obsession, Repetition, Alteration, Obsession, Repetition, Alteration.
When the upbeat (Obsession, Repetition, Alteration) collides with disintegration (Obsession, Repetition, Alteration)
we cultivate only a sense of German progressive (Obsession) the solo is mere malice and we stop at the (Repetition).

Compared to the friends of the Windmill scene (Obsession, Repetition, Alteration), they certainly remain the noisiest (Alteration)
and between brutally prog, mathematical rock, and deformed postism (Alteration), they continue to speak over the clamor.

Cohesive (Obsession) Divided (Repetition) Arpeggios (Alteration)
Slaughters (Repetition) Psychedelia (Alteration) Deserts (Obsession)
Cold (Alteration) Wolves (Obsession) Virulent (Repetition)

Some talk about dark Flaming Lips, less rough Dillinger Escape Plan,
some speak of post-hardcore King Crimson and post-punk Battles,
from classic progressive to Rock in Opposition, serious Primus.

Summary by Bot

This review praises Black Midi's album Cavalcade for its intense fusion of brutal progressive rock, mathematical structures, and experimental post-punk elements. The band stands out as the noisiest act amid the Windmill scene, embracing repetition and alteration to create a disintegrating yet cohesive sound. References to diverse influences highlight Cavalcade's complexity and dark, psychedelic edge. Overall, it's a challenging but rewarding listen.
