The Profile

Italian singer and guitarist, founding voice of Acqua Fragile; later joined Premiata Forneria Marconi in the mid-1970s. He began a solo path around the turn of the 1980s, exploring rock, country and blues alongside his progressive roots.

Fronted Acqua Fragile and later sang with Premiata Forneria Marconi (including albums such as Chocolate Kings and Jet Lag). KO was released in 1979 on Ciao Records with contributions from Walter Calloni and Mauro Pagani. Gente Nervosa was recorded in London and showcases rock, country and blues elements; its title track is highlighted by reviewers. Known for experimenting with vocal effects such as the ‘Glovox’ live.

Two DeBaser reviews spotlight Lanzetti’s post-PFM solo work. Gente Nervosa is praised for heartfelt guitar-driven songs with rock, country, and blues shades, crowned by a memorable title track. KO (1979) is deemed solid but opportunistic, despite strong players like Walter Calloni and Mauro Pagani. Overall verdict: talent undeniable, results uneven.
