Seven years after the release of her first album, a brilliant and disorienting debut, Bebawinigi returns to the scene with an equally impactful album. 11 tracks, with two concessions to the Italian language, the rest, as in the first album, is a jumble of English, gramelot, stutters, sacred music airs, flashes of blues, soul. Oh yes, Beba's voice can do this and much more. Around the voice, this time she offers us a more rock approach. It's a dark rock, a child of people like NIN. The electric guitar, whether it weaves loops and cinematic arrangement soundscapes or scratches us with killer riffs, is certainly a co-protagonist of this beautiful work. If you then add Beba's punk approach to the cello, the sound design by Beba and Michele Gualdrini, well, mark this album as one of the best of 2022.
