Beatrik is an Italian depressive black/doom duo from Trentino-Alto Adige formed in 1998 by Frozen Glare Smara (vocals, guitars, main composer) and drummer Vidharr. They released Journey Through the End of Life (2002) and Requiem of December (2005, Avantgarde Music). Their lyrics dwell on the moments before death, funeral sorrow, and the certainty of dying, with a sound evolving from cold black/doom to slower, more personal atmospheres.
