American indie rock band formed in Seattle, led by singer-songwriter Ben Bridwell; known for melodic, reverb-drenched guitar-driven songs and several critically noted albums.

Formed in Seattle with Ben Bridwell as bandleader; co-founder Mat Brooke was involved early (left to form Grand Archives). Infinite Arms received a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album and the band received an ASCAP Vanguard Award in 2011. Early albums include Everything All The Time (2006) and Cease To Begin (2007).

DeBaser reviews praise Band of Horses' early albums (Everything All The Time, Infinite Arms) for melodic, guitar-driven indie rock and strong songwriting. Cease To Begin and Mirage Rock receive mixed reactions—seen as more polished or commercial. Live coverage notes decent performances but limited stage presence in one festival report.

For:Fans of melodic indie rock, guitar-driven songwriting, early-2000s indie listeners

...And the last one closes the door!... as Nick Carter would say.

Shot straight to the top of my personal chart of the "Best Albums of 2006", this "Everything All The Time", the debut album by "Band Of Horses", is simply an excellent album, where the verb of American guitar-driven indie rock is conjugated according to the best standards, destined to remain in your CD player for a long time.
