THE REVIEW

Hello everyone! Today I'm here to write a review of the album Waking The Fallen by Avenged Sevenfold.
The music offered by the Orange County band in this album is quite hard to define precisely, encompassing a bit of Iron Maiden, choruses inspired by Bad Religion, and some inclinations towards A.F.I..
The cover is simply beautiful, depicting the Deathbat (the band's icon) on a black background, but let's not linger on the aesthetics and analyze the second masterpiece by A7X!

The first track is "Waking the Fallen", a brief INTRO, which then leads into "Unholy Confessions", the first and only single from this album, a fantastic song that already makes it clear that the band has technically improved from the past "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet". The third track is the beautiful and moving "Chapter Four", a well-crafted song, followed by the heavy "Remenissions". The fifth track is the aggressive "Desecrate Through Reverence", followed by the fast and furious "Eternal Rest". The seventh track is the beautiful and melodic "Second Heartbeat", one of the songs I appreciate most on this album. The eighth track is "Radiant Eclipse", and the final silences of this track lead to my favorite, "I Won't See You Tonight (Pt. 1)". This is simply a beautiful song with piano, divided into two parts - the first an emotional ballad, the second "I Won't See You Tonight (Pt. 2)", musically opposite to the first and full of ferocity. The eleventh track is "Clairvoyant Disease", and the last track is "And All Things Will End", a beautiful and lengthy song that seems to invite you not to abandon this great album.

In summary, 12 tracks for a total of about 68 minutes. In short, I recommend this A7X album to both metalheads and young people who listen to nu metal-emo-punk-rock, thanks to their style and skill...

'Unholy Confession'... the true gem of this CD, a song that never tires.

The O.C. quintet has evolved compared to their previous work, producing a very appreciated and varied album.
