Musical artist producing lo-fi hip hop and downtempo music; releases reviewed on DeBaser include the albums 'Finding A New Job' and 'social nearness'. Sound characterized by toy keyboards and influences from funk, jazz, indie and synth-pop; some tracks feature Italian lyrics.

Two DeBaser reviews (by Viola De Soto) cover the albums 'Finding A New Job' (review published 2022) and 'social nearness' (review published 2023).

Two DeBaser reviews by Viola De Soto rate Arsen Palestini's albums at 3/5. The music is described as lo-fi hip hop / downtempo with toy-keyboard sounds, funk and jazz influences. Reviewers praise the sonic palette but note uneven lyrics and highlight Italian-language tracks as strong moments.

For:Listeners of lo-fi hip hop, downtempo, electro-funk and eclectic indie blends; readers interested in politically engaged Italian-language tracks.

It’s indeed a pity that Arsen strives to write in Italian on only three tracks, which, not surprisingly, are the most successful, also because they are very "committed" lyrics, with a focus on the here and now, particularly “Ancora a fare guerre,” which could be a great anthem to blast at full volume under some NATO base or in front of the Ministry of Defense that perhaps has forgotten that “Italy repudiates war” and instead sends weapons to Ukraine as if nothing happened.
