"Zora", first published in 1977, is one of the most emblematic masterpieces of Italian occult progressive rock. The Antonius Rex, led by the charismatic and late Antonio Bartoccetti, create a sonic universe dominated by gothic and esoteric atmospheres, where each track represents a stage of a mystical journey towards unknown and arcane worlds.
The album opens with "Necromancer", a track characterized by a beautiful dark-prog piano that immediately immerses the listener in an atmosphere filled with mystery and tension. Here ancient rituals are evoked, projecting the listener into a world made of magic and secrets. "Spiritualist Seance" continues this immersion into the supernatural, exploring the theme of communication with the afterlife. With its nine minutes of meditative soundscapes, the track invites reflection on the boundary between life and death, with the church organ providing a sacred and unsettling aura.

The title track, "Zora", revolves around the theme of spiritual transformation, while "Morte al Potere"—a reinterpretation of "U.F.D.E.M." by Jacula—stands out for its ecological message, anticipating themes of rebellion against man's destructive power over nature. "Monastery" offers a contemplative atmosphere, evoking the mystical quiet of a gothic monastery. The hypnotic arrangements and instrumental passages convey a deep reflection on sacrality and mortality. Finally, the bonus track "The Gnome" adds another layer to the album's concept, with sounds reminiscent of Goblins. This new reissue, curated by Black Widow Records, reintroduces the original cover, censored at the time, and enriches the work with restored sound and updated graphics. Zora reaffirms itself as a dark and fascinating sonic journey, capable of engaging new listeners and long-standing enthusiasts, offering a unique experience in the realms of mystery and the supernatural.
