The "Alter Bridge" have been ignored by members of Debaser, always skilled only at criticizing. These USA lads are composed of 3/4 former Creed members with the addition of Myles Kennedy as vocalist.
Let's move on to their first CD; "One Day Remains" was released in 2004 and it's a complete CD, with lyrics co-written (Mark Tremonti, the band's guitarist, helps Kennedy during the writing of the lyrics). The "guitar riffs" are heavily influenced by "Creed" as you can hear during the listening of "Find The Real", "One Day Remains" is a fast and sunny track, "Open Your Eyes" is among the best tracks of the album where M. Kennedy fully expresses his vocal talents, a must-listen to Mark Tremonti's solo in the finale, "Burn It Down" feels a lot like Creed, but that's normal, "Metalingus" is the masterpiece of the album, becoming in 2005 the soundtrack for the wrestler 'Edge' entering the ring, it's a powerful track with sharp lyrics and a sound between crossover and nu-metal, "Broken Wings" is a love song that Kennedy dedicates to all the "BROKEN HEARTS", a masterpiece, "In Loving Memory" is in the same vein as the previous track but not at such high levels, excellent lyrics, "Down To My Last" and "Watch Your Words" are splendid and during these 2 tracks M. Tremonti steals the scene from M. Kennedy.
A decent finale with "The End Is Here", not a beautiful melody but the chorus is tear-jerking! "For the rest of my life I will find the answers That were always here I will find the meaning this time I will fight the end Till the end is here"
Listen to them and if you like them, also listen to "Creed", "Pearl Jam", but especially "Audioslave" by "Audioslave".

Finally, there’s a good presence of GUITAR SOLOS! Thank God that damn Mark Tremonti realized he could play it.
Alter Bridge is one of the few bands that tries to keep alive what little is left of melodic grunge rock.
These are Creed with a different voice. Period.
They are not certainly exceptional, and they definitely need to improve the choruses, but as they are, they can be a good listen to chase away stress and clear the mind.
