THE REVIEW

After the 70-plus minutes of Baka Ga Kita, which felt more like a collection of Bushman nursery rhymes than an album, this Suuto Breakor is a bit of a relief.

A "mature" album, at least according to the standards of the adorable Japanese girls Yuiki and Pikachu. The atmospheres become more relaxed and expansive, the sound has an exotic and psychedelic flavor, and the irruence of their typical Garage Noise is abandoned. *Sigh.* The untitled tracks suggest the album as a 40-minute long Free Folk suite... In the end, let's face it, it's a bit of a drag, honestly. One of the flaws of these pieces is indeed the excessive intimacy that has nothing to do with Afrirampo. How will they satisfy the fans used to their explosive and extreme shows when they have to bring the album around?

Their exploration of the Bushman Land (where they recorded the previous album) has marked them for life. The first track, in fact, opens with some "sounds" not clearly identified that could be from aroused monkey-like creatures or other atypical wild beings. Could they be inhabitants of the dark savannah or anthropomorphic species from the rainforest?

To conclude, I would say that the latest work by the charming Japanese girls is quite cute but becomes boring too quickly. Soon you start missing the Art Punk outbursts from Our girls and breathe a sigh of relief while listening to the angry climax of track 6, where Afrirampo returns to smash.

I have the impression that with the next album, the noise will return.

Let's hope they come back even more zany than before!!!
