Supersonic Megafauna Collision April 5, 2024.

Just a few days ago, the Greek band released their fourth full-length album. Nothing has changed since their beginnings: always true to themselves, always committed to a sound that's damn Heavy-Stoner-Doom. Almost "static" and monotonous in their relentless and exaggerated pursuit of incredibly heavy riffs steeped in dark evil; and it couldn't be otherwise given the name they've chosen for the band. They record for the label "Heavy Psych Sound" which favors these retro and vintage sounds: in this way, the circle can already be considered closed. I can, therefore, only write well about Supersonic Megafauna Collision (and what a damn cool title these dock workers from Piraeus have chosen!!).

Father and son back each other up on guitars, tuned under layers of damp soil. Tons of dark-hued riffs are crafted with unheard-of abysmal depth; an unusually essential and ruinous rhythm section adds thickness to the quality of the murky sound. And finally, from the sonic carpet emerges a hypnotizing, chilling voice that tells of witches, nightmares, death, and other various horrors: completely similar to the Ozzy of Black Sabbath's early masterpieces.

Only 6 tracks for 42 minutes of suffering pain...
