Abscess is an American death metal band formed in 1994 by Chris Reifert (ex-Death, Autopsy) and Danny Coralles. Known for blending filthy death metal with punk and doom elements, they released albums through Peaceville Records, including Urine Junkies and Horrorhammer, before disbanding in 2010.

Founded in California by Chris Reifert and Danny Coralles after Autopsy’s split; vocals shared by Reifert and Clint Bower; artwork on Horrorhammer by Dennis Dread; associated with Peaceville/Tyrant Syndicate; active 1994–2010.
