Terrible review that criticizes an album which, instead, has 3/4 good quality tracks but unfortunately suffers from the harmful effects of the 1980s decade on all the rock music of that period. What matters is that the MASTER was able to overcome that musical swamp by then producing, in the 90s, great albums starting from Oh Mercy and Under the Red Sky, to the dismay of many of his detractors.
