LOMECHUSA is the name of a famous poisoner from ancient Rome, and with this name, a staphylinid beetle parasitic of some species of ants from the important genera Formica and Myrmica is called. When it enters an ant colony, the Lomecusa shows the approaching ants the posterior hairs called Tricomi that secrete a sugary liquid. When ants sniff the tricomi, they can't resist anymore, become slaves, and dedicate themselves to this activity, abandoning their tasks, hosting the Lomecusa in their nest, and no longer caring for the larvae that grow weak and deformed. Soon, the lomecusomani ants show signs of cerebral degeneration: loss of balance and orientation, apathy. The nest slowly deteriorates, the social structure declines while the Lomecusa lays its eggs among those of the ants; when the eggs hatch, the Lomecusa larvae devour the eggs and the larvae of the ants. When Death reigns supreme in the nest, the lomecuse emerge and go to parasitize other nests. and they are drugged. and they destroy nests. and then they sniff. and they are addicted. and Death will reign supreme. and they will breed again. a bit like all of us... In a more "official" way, I am a 22-year-old, bored, and I love music... rock mostly, SIMPLE & STATIC
