Matteo De Simone was born on May 13, 1981, and lives in Turin. Passionate about music and writing, he is the voice and guitar of the rock band Nadar Solo. After completing his classical high school diploma and two years of university studies in literature, he studies storytelling at the Holden School in Turin, founded by Alessandro Baricco. He has published a story in the collection Kermessebook, experiments in visual writing, and another story will be published in summer 2005 by the magazine Alchimie, available at all Feltrinelli bookstores. He collaborates with the thematic magazine "Il contesto," with Auday (a literary fanzine linked to the Astigiano festival Passepartout), zai.net, Smemoranda.it, and Gufetto.it as a live music reviewer. He has long been involved in blogging (www.iojaco.splinder.com) and web writing, and is the creator and producer, along with Alice Avallone, of the literary blog www.letturascatti.com. He is currently engaged in a mediation project between the prison system and civil society (www.ilcontesto.org/dentroefuori), in collaboration with "Il contesto," the C.A.S.T cooperative, and director Davide Ferrario. He occasionally composes soundtracks for video, documentary, and industrial productions, as well as short films.
