Francesco, for friends Mao, for cousins Checco, for acquaintances Fra, for work colleagues Francy, and for the web: DeadMao. From San Vito dei Normanni in Puglia, a small town lost in upper Salento, full of bars and churches. A little village where every meeting categorically involves the presence of a beer or a coffee (in succession but also simultaneously)

Convinced of being an artist and driven by adolescent passions, I decided to move to Rome to find the professional outlet (but also the breakdown) closest to me which, said less excitedly, means I came to Rome to study graphic design.

In December 2009, despite a university as bourgeois as it was disorganized, I grabbed the piece of paper complete with elegant suit, laurel crown, and unforgettable photo.

In 2008, during a particularly fortunate period, I was chosen by two professors (both bald, by the way) as an intern at a company, unknowingly entering the world of visual effects (which are special effects but done on the computer, in case you were wondering), a path I decided to follow and am currently pursuing.

Art, iPod, long-haired people, geekiness, and thick glasses. A timeless big puppy full of gentle smiles and always available, but my name is not Denver, also because I don't like pink Ray-Bans.

I read only books I have never heard much about. Better if chosen solely by the cover and at most by the first two lines of the title page. I always dive into new codes and stories without any prejudice, also because I have been reading for only two years and have a long way to go.

I listen to anything that involves a journey: from easy pop choruses to more complex underground experiences, better if accompanied by a beautiful cover image or an eye-catching video. In short, mine is always a visual and visionary experience. My favorite teenage band is HIM, who now always guarantee me the emo label. But, to be clear, razor blades scare me and my beard is proof of that.

I watch (with variable willingness) every kind of moving image sequence. For every film I mainly notice these things: cinematography, soundtrack, plot. I absorb the rest with a second viewing if the movie stays in my head.

I drink little, but when I drink I am very funny, especially if there's a trusted friend who delivers the punchline or stimulates my silliness, freeing me from the embarrassment and shyness that characterize me. Although I normally end up falling asleep and I believe, in general, that I suffer from a mild form of narcolepsy.

I draw a lot, always and only on squared notebooks and with a black pen in hand.

I dream a lot and deeply. I have a plain veneration for Sigmund Freud and I believe I have a kind of natural talent for dream interpretation, except I have no memory of the interpretations I make, effectively preventing any hope of self-analysis.

I signed up to Debaser because everyone seems like nice people

Cheers.

Greet with joy!
