A scream, piercing, violent, desperate, and then the attack of a guitar with a '70s punk riff.
This alone, the beginning of "Rappresento," would be enough to show what these Neapolitan guys are made of.
Ska, punk, dub, hardcore, '80s disco music, the tradition of their land, are like homework learned by heart. Everything has been absorbed and takes on a new form in the 10 tracks of this work.
Metaversus is an inextricable amalgam of sounds, quotations, noises, escaping any interpretative logic. It's simply the sound of 24 Grana. To label their music with a genre is offensive.
The Beatles-like melody of "Nel metaverso" intersects with a distorted guitar and reggae interludes. "Vesto sempre uguale" alternates dub-soaked verses with frenzied choruses where the six-string penetrates deep and precise even into the mind of the most distracted listener.
Francesco Di Bella, a genuine, confident frontman, sings with an unusual personality and uses the dialect to sharpen sharp and anarchic lyrics. His warm and passionate voice, steeped in Neapolitan bel canto, engages in melancholic vocalizations in "La costanza," recites a resigned poetry around the acidic arpeggio of "Le abitudini," but becomes effective and desperate in the most frenetic episodes ("Resto acciso").
With this album, the group demonstrates determination, creativity, and awareness of their capabilities. Metaversus, one of the most original works released in recent years, places 24 Grana at the pinnacle of the Neapolitan scene.

With "Metaversus," 24 Grana leaves behind the cliché of being seen as heirs to Almamegretta and 99 Posse.
An important album that will remain fixed in the players of many people and will have a place of honor among the great Italian albums.

A rare, very rare example of excellent Italian music cared for in the finest detail.
An electric guitar guides us between the human world and the virtual reality, there is a need to stay in this new reality.
