I am very anxious and apprehensive about reviewing a single by the singer-songwriter born in '55 from Roncocesi, Reggio Emilia. I have been registered for almost 3 months, and so far I haven't had the chance to find out if the artist in question is well-regarded on the site. Despite all this, I gather my courage and proceed to describe a song, which in my modest, very modest opinion (given my young age and my little musical knowledge), is one of the best produced in the Italian music scene in the last decade.
We are nearing Christmas, the most worthwhile festivity, but the Christmas atmosphere that we all should be feeling is unfortunately not present, it cannot be perceived even to a small extent. I don't know if in your cities or in your native towns the pure and light winter snow has fallen or not, but here in Treviso (the city I live in), not only has the white and cold snow not come down, but the weather is decidedly spring-like, the sun shines high in the sky, and the average temperature is a total of 12°. But where have those cold winters gone, with the harsh temperature and the snowflakes falling to cover the path to our home in white? You no longer see children playing and happily building snowmen, perhaps together with their own parents. And you get angry when you see the advertisements for panettone with a metropolis covered in white as the backdrop! Because you know you'll have to wait until January to see the snow falling from the sky, but by then school lessons will have already inexorably resumed.
And it is precisely with the single I'm about to discuss that we return to the good old days, in 1995, when maybe on TV you see this very eccentric big man, long hair, very thick sunglasses and a wide black hat. And it's at the sound of the bells at the beginning of the composition that your heart feels a wonderful sensation like no other. The guitar of that strange character that seems to play for you. A song with a stunning, very harmonious and gentle melody. You blissfully listen to this product that has certainly made us famous in the world; just think of England, whose inhabitants have always said that this work by our native singer is a great piece, which brings Christmas to mind. And you get angry nowadays, almost a week from the festivity, because there are crazy people killing innocent people, just for money, when it is known that in the world money doesn't matter, but values, ideals do. And you get angry again when you hear that in Hollywood there are stars spending millions and millions on clothes and stupid accessories, when there are people in the world dying of hunger, and just a small help would suffice to make them live a little better and give them a smile. Why do I like this single so much? Perhaps because it has a certain nostalgia factor for me, a desire to return "young" and to savor that festive and Christmas atmosphere that is unfortunately no longer felt.
You are right, I know what you will think when you read this piece of mine: "What kind of review is this?" Well then, I'll say it right now so there will be no misunderstandings: this absurd word essay of mine aims to be a message. A message for you, so that everyone can be a little better for the week leading up to Christmas, for the good of all. This is a message, gentlemen, and whether you like it or not (modesty aside), it is a great message sent from a little boy almost 15 years old.

Voodoo voodoo per me
Voodoo voodoo solo un po' d'amore
Yee yee yee yee yee yee!
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo fiamme sulla luna
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo per me
Voodoo voodoo solo un po' d'amore
Yee yee yee yee yee yee!
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo fiamme sulla luna
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo.
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo solco nella duna
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo.
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo fiamme sulla luna
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo.
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo solco nella duna
Voodoo voodoo I got a feeling
Voodoo voodoo.
Lascia che il mio coso lavori,
Lascia che il mio coso lavori (dai)
Lascia che lavori il mio pensiero d'amore.
