THE REVIEW

There are two aspects to consider about this EP: the first is that the sound is well-balanced, aggressive enough but filled with colorful and catchy melodies.
The second is that one cannot ignore that such a mix has now been widely overused in the electronic scene, and a pinch of originality would not have hurt.
In short, while the ability is there (proven by the debut on NeverSayDie), personality is lacking, and the result is a product that works (and quite well) but which, in a few years, no one will remember, except perhaps for the only truly noteworthy moment: the explosive finale of "Game Time", a sort of frantic and unstoppable drum-step.

In the hope that Zomboy will start from there for a future album that is less trendy but more interesting, and that he will work to carve out his own space as a protagonist rather than continue to idle in the shadow of Skrillex or others, three stars.

Summary by Bot

Zomboy's Game Time EP features well-balanced and aggressive sounds packed with catchy melodies. However, the review notes a lack of originality as the style has become overused in electronic music. The EP works well, especially the energetic finale of the track "Game Time," but overall may not be memorable long-term. The reviewer hopes for more personality and uniqueness in Zomboy’s future work.
