ZEBRA FINK - ZENO (Orzorock Music)

After four years since the release of their last album, Zebra Fink returns with a new work, proving to be an artistically mature band.

They bring to the Italian rock scene a record with complex sounds.

Starting from an alternative style that closely resembles the bands of the late '90s and early '00s (think Verdena and Ministri) to arrive at a sort of noisy and aggressive hard rock. Distorted guitars play relentless riffs characterized by a strong presence of reverb, a frenetic drum that creates a real sound barrier, and an explosive and expressive voice.

The album is composed of nine tracks, starting from “Io sto bene” and concluding with “So che mi dirai.” All are generally violent and harsh, with exceptions being “Codici” (more melodic) and the aforementioned “So che mi dirai,” which, despite having calmer sounds, gains aggressiveness from the lyrics and gives the listener a final strong image and a summary of what the album can represent:

“E so che mi dirai che tutto passa in fretta e non abbiamo motivo di chinare la testa,

e so che mi dirai che ogni giorno è buono per dimenticar tutto e sentirmi più nuovo.”
