Finally, the official album to make your neighbor curse you eternally! For those who are already bored with the paralyzing lullabies of Josh Homme, here is a band (with a rather peculiar name) to keep an eye on. Truly an excellent debut album from Yourcodenameis:milo, who boldly positions themselves to carry on the musical journey of At The Drive In.

From these few lines, you can tell we're in quite a noisy sonic territory. In fact, hardcore is the starting point for this band, playing as if all the rage Kurt Cobain accumulated over the years underground has finally been ignited and brought to light. The melodic lines are quite simple, yet there's a greater attention to the small "background" details that place this album a notch above certain music overly hyped today, more than ever, in various specialized magazines. The single, "17", released these days, although "softer" compared to the rest of the album, still serves as a valid example of the group's potential: distorted and unrefined guitars illuminate a path that starts from grunge and leads to some cues reminiscent of the less romantic My Vitriol.

The album is filled with sonorities often sodomized by some feedback and a sound that heavily relies on a bass at the brink of a noise complaint. Completing the picture is a sea of small electronic "sonic intuitions" that the keen listener cannot fail to "rediscover in headphones" from the very first listens. The singer's voice is a sort of Thom Yorke after a tiny dose of hormones, thus, besides resembling a dog whistle-call, it also manages to scrape something more, in favor of an unmistakably nerdy image (complete with black-rimmed glasses and outfits resembling a clandestine immigrant).

"I Am Connecting Flight" and "Titan Grip" represent, with their sonic strength, the most pleasant punch in the face you've ever received. And if someone like myself, who is surely not renowned for being a fan of these "harsh" sounds, suggests you seek out this nice record, you simply have to take action!
