THE REVIEW

THIS ALBUM IS A MUST!

FROM THE VERY FIRST LISTEN, IT FILLS YOUR MIND WITH STRONG SENSATIONS AND MOVES YOU LIKE NEVER BEFORE. 'COME FEVER TO TELL' WANTED TO BE RAW AND HARD, THIS IS PURE ANTITHESIS.

KAREN PROVES SHE IS NOT JUST A STAGE BEAST AS WE'VE KNOWN HER, BUT ALSO AN ARTIST WHO CAN EXPRESS HER EMOTIONS IN A MORE CALM MANNER, WHICH DOES NOT MEAN A CHANGE OF DIRECTION TO ATTRACT A WIDER AUDIENCE.

THE INFLUENCES ARE VARIED. INTERPOL, SONIC YOUTH, BUT ALSO REM. ‘PHENOMENA’ HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A HIT WITH ITS FUNKY RHYTHM. THE BEST SONG: ‘CHEATED HEARTS’.

Summary by Bot

Show Your Bones by Yeah Yeah Yeahs is praised for its strong emotional resonance and artistic maturity. Unlike the rawness of Fever to Tell, this album explores a calmer but still powerful sound. Karen O demonstrates versatility beyond her energetic stage presence. Influences from Interpol, Sonic Youth, and REM enrich the album. Standout tracks include 'Cheated Hearts' and 'Phenomena.'

"Show Your Bones is what happens when you stick your fingers into the power socket."

Gold Lion represents a peak that soon turns into the edge of an abyss.

By Waldo

Show Your Bones reconfirms them as one of the most vibrant and interesting acts coming from the Big Apple.

The album concludes with a great ballad, a worthy finale that raises the album’s rating by at least a star.

A pure and simple example of a TRUE band that vomits all its soul when it picks up a guitar, hits the drums, and copulates with the microphone.

Their punk and iconoclastic soul has never abandoned them, but lives and feeds within their bodies.
