YAMABUSHEE - Music for Lonely Souls
(Phony Art Records)
A new musical project hits the scene, led by bassist and composer Dado Penta, who has reshuffled the deck of his first 26 years of career to create a musical, cinematic, and dreamlike work.
Excluding Dado (bassist but also composer and arranger of every single track), the band consists of Ivan Piepoli on vocals, Giuseppe Pascucci on guitars, and Guido Vincenti on drums, with the addition of two guest wind instrumentalists, namely Donny Balice on trumpet and Gianni Binetti on baritone sax.
The group was born out of the singer's need to create a very ambitious musical project, a concept on solitude characterized by the fusion of the most disparate genres and an extremely distorted and pulp atmosphere.
The result of this immense work is Music for Lonely Souls, produced by Phony Art Records.
In 11 tracks, both instrumental and not, spanning noise, post-rock, new wave, and jazz, one retraces dreamlike scenarios, sometimes soft, sometimes oppressive, immersing the listener into a film. An experience to try and fully enjoy.
