Musical Group

XXL is a collaborative project between Jamie Stewart (of Xiu Xiu) and the Turin-based band Larsen, formed in 2005. The collaboration produced several releases (including ¡Ciaütistico!, ¿Spicchiology?, and Dude) on Important Records and mixes experimental, post-rock and electronic textures.

Formed in 2005 when Jamie Stewart met Larsen; releases include ¡Ciaütistico! (Important Records) and Dude; project blends Stewart's vocals with Larsen's instrumentation; Caralee McElroy appears on the first XXL record and later joined Cold Cave; Angela Seo is noted as a constant member of Xiu Xiu (mentioned in reviews).
