Wu Ming is an Italian writing collective formed in 2000, known for collaborative historical novels and political themes.

The collective emerged from the wider Luther Blissett project. Members publish under the shared pseudonym Wu Ming and produce novels and essays in Italian dealing with history, politics and culture.

DeBaser hosts one review of Wu Ming's L'armata dei sonnambuli (5/5). The review praises the book's historical scope, echoes of Umberto Eco, and playful use of theatrical references (Goldoni, Molière). It notes collective authorship, neologisms, and themes ranging from revolutionary politics to popular beliefs and proto-scientific practices.

For:Readers of historical and political fiction; fans of Italian literature and intertextual novels.

Wu Ming, the army of sleepwalkers, echoes of Eco's writing in this pleasantly crafted book.
