THE REVIEW

A great comeback.

The harmonic flights that characterized the previous "Salvation of the Seers" land on solid ground and on much more mundane themes.

Psychedelic rock becomes fresh, rejuvenating, evolving pop.

The album is well-structured and offers innovative elements both in the lyrics and in the arrangement choices, which often wisely utilize electronic interventions.

Empty Temptation

The title track of the second album by the Bari-based band is the manifesto of this nascent musical genre, which, aiming to rise to neologisms, approaches a sort of "progressive pop." The sound is dynamic and expansive.

Ashes (In Your Hands)

A re-proposition of the old Track 1 from the previous album. New recording and probably a new interpretation.

The Best is Yet to Come

Fleeting, unpredictable rhythms leading to a smile-inducing and instantly catchy chorus. A gem.

Nothing to Live For

A committed track dedicated to the passing of a friend due to illness. Well-crafted arrangement, well-woven melodic lines, and very captivating sounds. Very interesting is the final farewell, an unsettling instrumental artifice of great melodramatic depth.

What a Mess!

The danceable point of the album, a burst of pure, slightly retro rock 'n' roll. Finger-licking good.

Boats

Probably the best track by Wide. The lyrics achieve unprecedented poetic atmospheres, the vocal interpretation reaches truly moving heights, a liberating refrain, and a powerful guitar solo... a mix of emotions.
