Almost everyone recognizes the word Whiplash as the renowned track by Metallica from kill em all. Well, there was also a band that went by this name (perhaps as a tribute to Metallica?).  Anyway. . . what are we facing? A truly "noisy" record (excuse the term) and "showy" that makes you think of leather jackets with metal spikes! Decidedly Thrash from some points of view and decidedly U.S. Metal from others (see e.g. the S.A. Slayer of Go For The Throat). Many Thrashers might think to themselves: U.S. Metal, what a drag! Nonetheless, this album is pervaded by such a fierce malevolence that it often brings a smile to your lips : ) Thanks to Hansen's vocals that, when he has to unleash shrill screams, he certainly doesn’t need much persuading, and also to the truly (and ironically, of course) non-politically correct lyrics (and then take a look at the cover!).

The work is well structured and the tracks are fluent, even in the less fast parts,   composed in a simple and direct way and always reach the listener without too much strain. There are certainly no lack of small outbursts in Dementia Thirteen (the riff paired with the double bass is perhaps trivial but goes straight to the heart of every Thrasher!). Unforgettable in my opinion the riff of Insult To Injury, Beautiful! The production is dry and powerful and you can hear everything perfectly: the guitars, even if not too distorted, have a great sound.

I don’t know how many will like it as much as I do, but it's definitely worth giving it a listen to judge with your own ears! See you soon!
