THE REVIEW

Four friends dissatisfied with the direction their lives have taken decide to break away from the oppressive routine and set off on their motorcycles for a journey without rules and without planning, in search of adventures towards the Pacific. Along the way, they encounter various setbacks, including the dangerous "hardcore" biker gang of the "Del Fuego".

Now, if you can overlook the ridiculous title given by the Italian translators (originally the film is called "Wild Hogs", the name of the pseudo-gang of our four friends), you'll find yourself with a highly enjoyable and truly fun comedy/road-movie, ideal for spending a pleasant Saturday evening with friends.

The characters are irresistible in their hopelessly loser ways, the cast is exceptional and well-matched (John Travolta, William H. Macy, Martin Lawrence, Ray Liotta, Tim Allen, Marisa Tomei), the story progresses on conventional tracks but also offers a couple of nice surprises, in short, there is nothing to complain about.

It is not an important film and it surely won't leave the slightest mark in the history of cinema, but "Svalvolati" flows pleasantly and makes you laugh to tears. And by laughing to tears, I mean reaching the point of crying, of doubling over with a sore jaw. Often.

I may be repetitive, but if you want to have fun, go see this movie: it takes courage, I know, but it's worth it.
