I had been waiting for an energetic album without too many compromises! Volcano Heat deliver a short-distance work, with slight references to Beatles and Nirvana, reinterpreted here with a considerable competitive edge and a powerful, inspired sound.

"Surrender" is recorded at block A by Giulio Favero - bassist of the now well-known Teatro degli Orrori - and picks up on some insights that characterized the previous EP "And The Light Goes Out" while shifting the focus onto the live performance. In this endeavor, Volcano Heat prove themselves a cohesive power trio capable of writing memorable choruses, supported by the beautiful voice of Luca Picchetti and a rock-solid rhythm section that never leaves room to breathe, never frantic and rather agile.

A band that deserves to be heard, from the rock and roll of "Suicide", through the successful Beatles cover "Mean Mr. Mustard", concluding with the beautiful "Surrender" and "Room of Dummies", there's only good rock here!
