I bought this book for the holidays under the umbrella. I was looking for not only a great price but also a light yet stimulating theme. Shasmahal did not always align with my tastes as it talks a lot about battles, physical confrontations, and strategies, but nonetheless, it aroused enough curiosity in me to read the next chapter.

It's a good read, the theme is pleasant, light, with many adventures described accurately. The characterization of the characters is also interesting, their personalities shine through, and there are plenty of twists and turns, leaving the reader always suspended between what the character hopes to experience and the reality that actually unfolds.

Madhat is a positive character, with good principles, used wisely to further highlight the pettiness of our world.

And, a final plot twist! A must-read... there will be a sequel too!
