LA RECENSIONE

Hello everyone, I'm new... And I love gothic and dark.

I listen to The Cure, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Bauhaus, and also Joy Division (even though "Closer" is a bit heavy!!). Recently a friend of mine... They introduced me to the Virgin Prunes! Amazing!

They are sick and make you feel more depressed than Kurt Cobain's Nirvana and worse than Radiohead.

Rebellious and iconoclastic music for people who are tired of the superficial world that doesn't understand those who are free.

To me, the Virgin Prunes resemble Bauhaus and some Depeche Mode songs. The singer is too perverse with his voice, and the bassist... He's the brother of The Edge from U2!!

Did you get it!? One plays in an underground band, and the other is fooling around with Bono around the world, playing benefit concerts that will end up in their pockets! How disgusting!

However, the Virgin Prunes have always been avant-garde and consistent! They didn't sell out to MTV and didn't make much money either. They deserve it!

Their first album was called "If I Die, I Die" and their second album "Heresy".

It's truly heretical music that makes you feel alive.

There's a studio part and a live part.

This is my first review, so I won't write much more! I just hope people will listen to this album! It's amazing... even though nobody knows them!

Down to memory lane

You may be happy, you may be sad
You may be good, you may be bad
Let me tell you a secret so
?Cause I know something you don?t know

Oh here we go, round and round again
Oh here we go, down the memory lane

Oh yes, it?s the place to be
To sing a song, and jump for glee
One thing that makes me so happy
It?s the place where you really want for me

Oh here we go, round and round again
Oh here we go, down the memory lane

Lots of people have problems
They don?t want to do their ?sums?
Just like a girl we used to know
Jennifer ?Coate?, was her ?

Oh here we go, round and round again
Oh here we go, down the memory lane

Every song has a sad side
Don?t be so snide, don?t be so bright
And don?t tell lies
I can see it in your face
Don?t be seen in the bare
?Cause you?ll be caught in the snare

If any young man entices you
Don?t be led astray
Let the answer be on his ?neck?
Let the answer be on his ?neck?

Down the memory lane

(And I?ll tell ya somethin? else
It was Mary bloody ?Coate?
That?s the young one that was ???, the whore)
