This is my first review, and I would like to start by talking about the Vinnie Vincent Invasion, founded by guitar hero Vinnie Vincent, a short-lived band not very well-known but certainly valid. Vincent is a truly formidable but greatly underrated musician, and if he had gained more fame, he would have easily been compared to a Malmsteen or a Satriani. After being kicked out of the Kiss (Simmons said he was a big-headed), with bassist Dana Strum (future member of Slaughter) he founded this band, which presents a hair metal style similar to Motley Crue, but more incisive and full of guitar virtuosity.

"Boyz Are Gonna Rock" opens the album. Right away, you can appreciate Vinnie's great guitar technique, characterized by incredibly fast scales and sharp harmonics. Bobby Rock on drums and Strum on bass stick to keeping time, while singer Robert Fleischman expresses himself with a very powerful voice that could make even Vince Neil or Kevin DuBrow envious. "Shoot You Fool Of Love" presents more or less the same characteristics as the previous track, while "No Substitute" is a "radio friendly" piece that echoes the typical '80s hair metal. "Animal" is a formidable song, with Vincent always at the forefront thanks to his riffs. "Twisted" is my favorite, an speed metal track that slightly recalls the style of Judas Priest's "Defenders of the Faith."

"Do You Wanna Make Love" is another good composition, while "Back On The Streets" is a rock ballad that softens the tones. Following are "I Wanna Be Your Victim", "Baby-O", and "Invasion" closes the work, a nice piece, though the last two boring minutes could have been cut.

Ultimately, I would recommend listening to this album to fans of Motley Crue, Ratt, Kiss (from the '80s) and Poison, a great record that will surely please those nostalgic for '80s hair metal.
