Victor Peraino's Kingome Come

Musical Group

American keyboardist Victor Peraino led a later incarnation of the band Kingdom Come and is credited with releasing the album 'Journey In Time', which includes reworkings of classic material and contributions from Arthur Brown.

Original Kingdom Come was a late '60s/early '70s band fronted by Arthur Brown, noted for use of VCS3, mellotron and theremin. Black Widow (Genoa) released/reissued material and the Journey In Time release includes a DVD with five live tracks from Detroit and archival promotional video.

Victor Peraino revived Kingdom Come material on Journey In Time, involving Arthur Brown on some tracks. The release mixes space-rock, hard rock and psychedelia but is judged only partially convincing. Some unreleased tracks sound overly modern and artificial, while others like "Empires Of Steel" are praised. A CD+DVD edition includes five live tracks from Detroit and archival video, of particular interest to fans.

For:Progressive rock and psychedelia fans, followers of Arthur Brown, nostalgic listeners of 1970s prog

The final result, however, only partially convinces.
